Prayers for my mother Wendy Ann for her Dementia and Anxiety
Heavenly Father, I pray for guidance and protection for my mom and her failing mental health. Her anxiety has intensified after losing her sister recently and has been showing frightening signs of intense trauma and irrational phobias. I ask Lord Jesus to grant her husband,my father, the patience, wisdom and knowledge to make the right medical decisions for her. I beg of you Father to send the holy spirit to heal her so she does not rapidly decline but is sustained by her faith that you know best and will always keep her safe. I pray that her medication works and stops her frequent escaping home and wandering and that my father can rest comfortably knowing that she is not a threat to herself. I ask this in Jesus name, through the intercession of our Holy Mother Mary and St Micheal the archangel. Pray for us.

Prayers for my mom
My mom has been in an assisted living facility since July and was recently diagnosed with moderate dementia. Prayers for me and my two sisters who are her caregivers. Help with the guidance and understanding of this disease and also the financial support we will need to be able to keep her where she is.

For my 94 year old mother and father
Please pray for my 94 year old parents. My mother has late stage dementia. My father has begun to show signs of worsening dementia. In my mother’s confused dementia mind, she has said things that my father has accepted as fact. We have explained to him many times that it is not true, but he doesn’t understand and acts out. After trying to keep them together for years, we must separate them now. They have been married for 74 years. It is so sad to see such a loving couple of 74 years have to end their lives apart from each other. I pray for their peace, wisdom for myself and siblings as we make these difficult decisions, and God’s mercy.

Prayer request for my Grand-mother, Grand-father and all the caregivers and nurses.
My grandparents took my sister and me in once our mom passed away from cancer. I have been forever grateful for my grandparents and I do whatever I can for them, but I need help. This is like losing a mom for the second time for my sister and me. We have all been having a tough time coping, understanding, and having patience with her. I ask that others please help me in praying for my grandfather losing his wife after 54 years of marriage, praying for my grandmother's health, praying to help us have the patience and understanding, and praying for the nurses and caregivers who put themselves aside to help others and so that they have patience and energy to offer care. I know we are not the only ones going through this and I will keep everyone in my prayers. I really appreciate and am grateful for anyone who can pray for us or who pray for patients with dementia and their caregivers. Thank you.

Prayer for Grandmother with Vascular Dementia
I would very much appreciate prayers for my Grandmother, Joan, who is suffering from advanced vascular dementia. She will be turning 90 years old this month and recently lost her husband, my grandfather, who died of a heart attack. Please also lift up her family and caregivers in prayer as well. As she nears the end of her earthly journey, please also pray for the grace of a happy death.

Healing for my mother, Barbara
Please pray for my mom's physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Physically, that she may walk and move her limbs normally. She was faithful to her balance therapy exercises. She said, "I'm going to fight this thing." She wanted to progress although the exercises tired her. Mentally, her long stories and torrents of comments are exhausting her. It must contribute to her dry mouth, and the endless talking keeps her wired up and unable to rest. May the new sleep medicine help her rest, but not take away who she is. We do want to communicate. We will listen to her as long as she wants, but help calm her if the talking flusters her and makes her feel worse. Finally, spiritually, may she receive the Sacraments of the Church. Covid and contintence issues kept her from Mass, but her heart was always there every Sunday. Please, Lord, reward her faithfulness to You by sending a priest to her. She watched and prayed the Mass on tv every week. May the Real Presence of Jesus come to her in the Blessed Sacrament, along with the anointing, to give her spiritual strength, and if God wills it, strength to the body as well. Thank you for my family who show love and concern for each other in so many ways. Thank you for the example of my parents and their love and care for each other for over 66 years. God bless her caregiver Brenda who is gentle and loving towards her in so many ways. St. Barbara, intercede and pray for your namesake, Barbara. Thank you to anyone who may see this and include my mother in their prayers.

Please pray for my mother Juliette Hardin. Pray for healing for her mentally, physically, Spiritually and emotionally. Please Lord Jesus heal her open wounds around her colostomy bag on her abdomen. Praying for colostomy bag to stop leaking. Heal my mother short term and long term memory. Increase her appetite . Heal her nausea and dizziness she is still experiencing Lord we pray. Please give my sister Natalie ( care giver) energy, patience, Spiritual Wisdom to take care of our mother. Please pray for my mother who is suffering from Dementia. She is a wonderful mother and has had so many hardships in her life. She already had an organ transplant that saved her life and now battling this horrible disease. Please pray for my father who is her caregiver for strength and clarity and to get though the rough times. And a prayer for my sisters and I to grieve peacefully while we endure the long goodbye.

My father began his ministry at the tender age of 9 years old, singing on the national radio broadcast "Children's Bible Hour". He spent more than 70 years in full-time Christian ministry, traveling across the nation and around the world "Singing For Jesus." Dementia spiraled during the COVID lockdowns. My parents have prayed together every morning for more than half a decade. One morning, dad did not remember what prayer is. Every experience of his past has vanished. He does not remember his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren. My mom, his beloved wife, is his caregiver. It is her prayer that he can remain in their home for the rest of his life. Kindly remember them in your prayers.

Mom’s dementia, our strength and love
Mom is almost 87yrs and depression over the last several years obscured the beginning of dementia after my dad’s passing and now we are full fledge advanced dementia. My family (husband, teenage son and myself) are working hard to keep mom home with us. Please pray for her health and strength otherwise and our olive, patience and kindness.

Clear the fog and let him see us through this battle. Prayers are needed for my husband with Parkinson’s
I’m asking for prayers and support for my husband diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I can see daily that certain things are getting harder for him to remember. Like he just holds the remote and doesn’t know how to press it. It’s just small things now. I get weary thinking of how I can handle me as well as him. We have no help. All our kids live in different states. Give me the grace to be graceful towards him. He gets frustrated towards me and that’s hard to hear. Prayers and patience are my plea!! He’s so good and still reads his Bible every single day. The progression is not bad right now. Lord and the blessed Mother please help us both. Let us handle this with Grace. Heavens Grace. Amen. Thank you all. Prayers for all of you.

For our Mom, who is also a grandmother and great-grandmother, living with Dementia. Our Family was given short notice that we needed to move Mom from a Catholic Women's Home For the Aged after not even being there a year. The place is a "hidden gem", but has orders from the Provincial Office to close. Mom was able to celebrate daily mass and rosary there, a part of her daily routine for life! Please pray for all of the Nuns who will now follow their Provincial Order to move elsewhere, and for all of the residents and their families who will need to settle in at new different residences, as this home will be closed. Please pray for my Mom, in particular, that God grant her a peaceful move, and that her new caregivers and friends will welcome her and get to know the Diana that is still inside...

My Sister who is only 67 years old and has alzheimer’s dementia
Please pray for my sister Theresa who has alzheimer's dementia. She is slipping away little by little every day. It's like she's here but she's gone. I'm going to have to mourn twice. She's my only surviving sibling and lives 1000 miles away from me which makes it harder. She's forgotten how to use her phone among a lot of other things. She's being robbed of herself everyday. Please pray for my mom who has suffers from Dementia she is not eating just sleeping. And they will be moving her to Hospices Home. She is 97 years old and God may be calling her home. My mom is my best friend and great mom and her name is Anita. I pray if the Lord takes her peacefully. I will miss her dearly. I ask the Lord to give us strength and I am full of emotions. Please pray for my husband who has a remote brain injury and appears to be showing fairly dramatic signs of dementia. We are far away (many thousands of miles) from family, struggling to restore a home that a renter sublet illegally to druggies and caused many thousands of dollars of damage to. Please pray for Neil to come to a place of understanding about his diagnosis and find peace, and that we can restore and sell our home, so we can return to the mainland where he can get the care he needs.
