For every 100 older adults in your Parish (65 years +), 10 may have Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia (ADRD). Then, consider their family members who are taking care of them. There is solid education consistent with Holy Mother Church to transform families…and Parishes to care for elders -with or without ADRD- and caregivers.
The 3-minute video above is a “letter” to Priests (and their ministries). An actual 1-page letter can be viewed and printed by clicking HERE.
While our videos, audio podcasts, articles, and social media will always be FREE, we request modest fees for premium services in order to build and sustain Catholic Aging ministry.
Dioceses and Parishes may find that there are people excited to sponsor and be associated with a Parish mission, clergy or ministry workshop, or Catholic Aging family support group. Here are some ideas: (along with a letter template that you can edit and send to a potential sponsor, HERE)
- Local elder in-home care businesses or even national organizations that may have franchises in your area (E.g., Visiting Angels, Home Instead, Right at Home, and others)
- Home health (medical), Physical therapy, Assisted living facilities, small ‘residential homes’ for seniors, and hospice companies
- Parish ministries such as Knights of Columbus councils, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Vincent de Paul, and individual donors who understand the need for education and support.
