“Powerful Intercessors for Dementia”

With your help, we are creating a first-of-its-kind image of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, St. Dymphna, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Raphael the Archangel.
Matthew Estrade of The Peace with Dementia Rosary has partnered with sacred and religious artist Norman Faucheux to paint a classical image with features of Baroque and Renaissance styles. This artwork will offer a focal point of prayer for this ministry and, we pray, be a blessing to everyone impacted by dementia.

UPDATE: The Crowdfunding phase has ended. Thank you for your contribution. Please continue to pray for the project.

Why Did We Embark on this Sacred Art Project?

  • We pray that it increases the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, to honor Our Lady and for you to receive her promises.
  • It will serve as an inspirational reminder of four very powerful intercessors.
  • It will be an image upon which to reflect with hope and peace!
  • It reminds us that this journey of dementia is a cross, and that we can share in Jesus.
  • The final image will be used on prayer cards, canvases, and other merchandise that can be inspirational gifts for families.
  • Future sales of merchandise will help to sustain the vocation of The Peace with Dementia Rosary, which offers prayers, inspiration, and education to those impacted by dementia.

About the artist: Norman Faucheux

As an artist from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Norman Faucheux trained in studio art, receiving a BFA from Louisiana State University and went on to study at the Sacred Arts School in Florence, Italy. His focus is on creating Catholic art, which is his prayer.<7p>

Inspired by personal devotion, a sacramental worldview, sacred scripture, the tradition of the Church, and the lives of the saints, Norman references a vast scope of artistic styles and eras while drawing upon Classical, Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque art, as well as Iconography. Grateful for God's generous grace and for the role of art plunging him into the mystery of his Catholic faith, Norman evangelizes through art. The creative power of the Gospel that transforms sinners into saints inspires him to paint.

Nudged by a mutual friend to consider having Norman do some artwork for his ministry in 2020, Matthew was moved during a First Saturday Mass on June 5, 2021, to pitch the collaboration following the Holy Mass. Norman immediately agreed and suggested the addition of St. Raphael the Archangel for his healing intercession.
